What Did He Say About Me?
Day 1 – “I’ve Got The Plan For You”
Daily Scripture
Jeremiah 29:11-14a The Message Bible
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out – plans
to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future
you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to
me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for me, you will
find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want
it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t
be disappointed. I’ll turn things around for you.

What an awesome promise from God Himself, to you! Have you ever
made a plan? Let’s see what Mr. Webster says about the
word “plan.”
Plan: An outline; a draft; a map; To have in mind as a project
or purpose; to devise a scheme for making, doing or arranging
something.
I like the word map in that definition. A map always shows you
where you are going and how to get from point A to B, however
you still have to seek the map to keep from getting lost. Let’s
just consider the word map for a moment. What does it make you
think of? I know for me, as directionally challenged as I am,
that word is overwhelming. All those lines going all over the
place is just too crazy for me. I like for someone to spell it
out for me. Do I turn left or right? What is the landmark? No,
No, No, don’t tell me East or West, just tell me right
or left…please.
The word map also makes me think of how the world offers us a
counterfeit plan of success in comparison to the plan of God.
Yet the world’s map is definitely more appealing to our
5 senses, however it brings us pain in the end. God’s map
is a spiritual map and we must seek Him for the directions. Otherwise,
we will be a wanderer and basically have no direction at all
and just go with the flow. I don’t want to just go with
the flow! I want direction. I don’t want just a plan, but
the plan!
There is also the dreaded question, “what if I make a mistake?” Well,
obviously God planned for that too, because He said that He will
turn things around for you! So hey, God’s got you covered,
mistakes and all! That’s a promise! When you find yourself
in the midst of a booboo or you simply need directions, just
stop and listen! He will tell you. But you say “Tammy,
I don’t know how to hear from God, He doesn’t talk
to me.” Yes He does! Listen! He’s not hard to hear.
Have you ever been faced with making a decision and for some
reason you felt hesitant, like something wasn’t right?
You couldn’t really tell what it was exactly that wasn’t
right, but you knew that it was something. Well, that’s
God. See, God may not tell you everything about a situation,
but He will direct you moment by moment.
Think about this…do you ever have to question what is really
right and what is really wrong? No you don’t! You know
deep down because of that little hesitation or the secretiveness
of something. However, because God gave you a will of your own,
He allows you to make the decision freely. It’s your choice.
Weigh the cost before you take a step. God is always there ready
to direct you, mistake or no mistake. He will rescue you and
lead you down a path of success and total wholeness. Grant it,
if you make a mistake, you will experience the consequence of
that mistake, but it’s not God making you pay for it. It’s
just a spiritual law that has been set up in the earth, just
as gravity is a natural law. You jump from a roof top you will
fall. No Superwoman can avoid that! Yet, God says that He will
turn it around!
